With just 12 games left of the Premier League season, Swansea City find themselves 19th in the table, three points from safety and facing the prospect of a shock return to the Championship.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is the world according to BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson.
For some years now, ‘Lawro’ has been looking into his crystal ball and taking on a series of ‘celebrities’ in a battle to see who can predict the weekend’s football results.
Sadly, it seems when it comes to the Swans, the former Liverpool defender has somewhat of a blind spot.
Yes, far from being on the brink of reaching the magic 40-point mark in the quickest time in their Premier League history on Saturday, the Swansea picture would be a great deal bleaker if Lawro actually had some grasp on reality.
In fact, if the Beeb man’s predictions were actually correct this season, Garry Monk’s men would be 18 points worse off than the 37 they currently have and be licking their wounds after defeats to the likes of Sunderland, Southampton, Hull and Manchester United (twice).
And it doesn’t stop there. Any Swans fans heading to Turf Moor this weekend should be warned they face on long journey home on the back of a 2-1 defeat (Lawro’s latest prediction).
The good news? At least you’ll be asleep by the time they get around to showing the highlights on Match of the Day!
